Parent Information.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome back to all children and families.

Our concept this term is ‘Symbolism’, with the key understanding being " Messages within images". Children will learn about symbolism specifically through dance. They will get the opportunity to experience the different elements of dance and also learn and create a particular cultural dance.

Home Learning can be found on the class blog. This will continue to be set for two weeks at a time. Our blog site is: www.room7stmaryrotorua.blogspot.com. The books will be collected every Friday at the end of every even week.

Holiday Reading: Please return the reading logs this week. There will be a prize draw on Friday and the class with the most reading logs handed in will receive a pizza lunch!

Library: Our library day is Monday. Please make sure children return their books so that they can issue a new one every week.

Uniforms: Children have 2 weeks to start getting into their summer uniform. The weather is still quite chilly thus the reason why they will still be allowed to wear winter uniform until it gets warmer. Polar fleeces are not to be worn during class time. Students with hair below their shoulders must have their hair tied back with either a blue, black or red hair tie.

Swimming will take part on all odd weeks. All children are expected to bring in their swimming gear, a towel, goggles( optional) and swimming cap ( optional). There is an expectation that all children swim, if your child can not swim for any particular reason, please let me know or send me a note.

Go4it PE: This programme will be run throughout the term and dates and reminders will be added to the class blog. Children are to bring PE gear on these days.

I am looking forward to another wonderful term of learning. Feel free to email me if you have any queries.

God Bless
Mrs Tai Waititi
